Full-time Fire Science Instructor

Coosa Valley Technical College has an opening for a full-time Fire Science Instructor.  Primary teaching duties will be on the Gordon Campus.  Minimum requirements are a bachelor’s degree (will consider associate if bachelor’s being pursued) in a fire science or related field. Experience as a Fire Firefighter, Fire Science Training, State Firefighter Certification is desirable. Georgia Standards & Training Fire Instructor I, National Professional Qualifications (NPQ) Fire Officer III, Georgia Fire Academy Incident Safety Officer and Georgia Fire Certified Educator I or II are preferred. Three years of full-time, paid work experience in-field within the past seven years is required.  Desired requirements include teaching experience at the postsecondary level.  Resumes with cover letter will be screened as received.
